As you can see, I clearly suck at taking pics for the site (hopefully I'll get better). I also am not very good at mowing. hee.
We started stringing some lights in the backyard on Wednesday and David and I have been enjoying relaxing on the patio after the kids go to bed. We plan to finish the light stringing this weekend. I am also hoping to mow. Little by little, we'll get the backyard we wanted. I envision a table and chairs for outdoor dining by the summer (when we can enjoy the bounty of our little garden).
In baking news, I got very excited last night while perusing the Babycakes cookbook for a gluten-free recipe rec for a friend. Some of these recipes really look divine. We'll continue plowing through Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, but man, Babycakes is a serious temptress to that project.
I also want to make these, especially b/c they are a little healthier than cupcakes.
I don't know if we'll get either cupcakes or pretzels baked this weekend due to a birthday party, a book fair and an embroidery class for me, but we'll get to them as soon as we can!

Thanks for the kind words on the soup. It is really funny how much Erin and Arthur are alike in their eating habits. I too was able to put some in a bowl and convince him it was noodles.
What type of embroidery? I love to embroider.
The garden looks great. We are going to the Natural Gardener tomorrow to start our garden. Our Fall garden was small. The tomatoes went crazy in it. We still have some red leaf lettuce thriving. Which suprises me.
See you this afternoon.

This is a ribbon embroidery class - so excited to learn this technique. Usually, Im just doing old-fashioned hand embroidery.
We may make it to NG on Sunday. Tomorrow were going to Erins schools book fair at BN in Sunset Valley. Storytimes in a variety of languages starting at 10:30am.
Yes, see you this afternoon!
