The Zuniga garden project is started!
As you see here, I finally got my raised bed constructed:
(Please ignore the unkept yard!)
And here I have gridded, though I didn't have enough cross bars or, rather, the leftover stuff I found in the garage I was going to use for this purpose didn't work out so well. I used twine to mark off the remaining grid pieces. I'll replace them as soon as I can get back to the hardware store.
I put the bed next to old gate posts so that I can string netting across and use it as a vertical support for plants that need it.
I will, by the way, trim the grass around the bed. Apparently, our weedeater needs a replacement part.
In baking news, Erin and I headed to Sugar Mama's bakeshop for a pre-Valentine treat.
Here she is enjoying her Red Velvet Cupcake with Cream Cheese icing.
Hope everyone had a sugar-filled and lovely Valentine's day!

I love square foot gardening. You can plop it down in any spot in the yard! Thanks for the pics.
